Your car headliner loses life quickly compared to other parts of your vehicle as it is made of lightweight material. It begins to flex in small areas and eventually curves in all areas while remaining at the edges. Your car headliner can delaminate and fall if it gets wet. The headliner can also be damaged if repaired by untrained technicians or using wrong products and techniques. The inclined or damaged roof lining gives your car a shabby appearance and reduces the value of your car.
When the necessary measures are taken to keep the pavilion covering, the hand cleaning method or steam steam method can be used. Hand cleaning will be the best method to clean headliner if done correctly. Some professionals use steamers to clean the pavilions. The use of steam steamer helps to clean the pavilions quickly and easily using less chemicals and saving more money. Both methods provide for the cleaning of the roof lining eliminating all the ground or dust present on the surface of the pavilion lining.
If using the hand cleaning method, brush the pavilion cover with a sponge or a very soft bristled brush such as a natural latex sponge or a horsehair brush, so as to loosen dust and dirt trapped on the ceiling. Gently wipe the stains on the covering of the pavilion with a soft cloth of white sponge applied with a recommended detergent. Rubbing should be done with circular movements and back and forth movements. Repeat the step several times until the point is gone. The same passage can be used on the entire pavilion to remove all the points on the pavilion lining. You can clean the points from the entire headliner in about half an hour.
If the vapor steamer method is used, the points on the pavilion lining are removed using a steam vapor that injects the product for cleaning and steam at a low setting. The steam steamer method is much better and faster than the hand cleaning method. The roof covering with moderate to heavy soil can be easily cleaned with the steam steamer method in about 10 minutes. Your headliner will appear new after you have cleaned it using the steam steamer method.
Inspect the pavilion cover regularly and clean it immediately if necessary. Always clean the automatic headliner gently with Fabric & Vinyl Cleaner and sponge. An alcohol-based aerosol glass cleaner evaporates quickly and is also the best solution for cleaning the halls. APC cleaner is an incredible multi-purpose cleaner. APC detergent skim very well and also cleans very bad spots without damaging the material of the pavilion lining.
Before testing any detergent, it is always recommended to test it on a small area of the pavilion lining. This will ensure that the cleaning product is safe for the roof lining material without damaging it. Avoid spraying cleaning products directly on the pavilion lining. You must be very careful not to wet your headliner while cleaning it. Try cleaning your headliner twice so that the pavilion is not wet.
Regular maintenance of your car’s lining not only maintains the interior appearance of your car, but also adds value to your car. If your automatic headliner lowers, you can replace it or have it professionally repaired by any good auto service center. Trying to fix it yourself with stickers, pins or something suitable, can only be useful for a few days or less.
